In careers guidance confidence will come about time and time again. An individual has to be confident to approach a centre in the first place, and then talk about their life, confident when applying for jobs and being.
I have been wracking my brains trying to think of something scholarly to write about for my last post since I can see that this blog is sadly lacking in that element of the module. Hopefully I have managed a few of these along the way. I know some of you are scared to test out some of the techniques we have been shown o.
Had a very productive PDP meeting with Pete yesterday afternoon and it was good to have half an hour set aside just to sit down and chat informally about anything and everything. There are also numerous grants and financial assistance we can provide and I need to get to grips with the procedures and qualifying criteria for these. As others have mentioned in their blogs we were lucky enough.

Does community make people lazy and under the impression that someone else will take care of things? The individual is still key in my opinion although I accept the thinking that encourages us to look at the individual in context of their surroundings.
I feel the most important things I have learnt over the past year are;. New listening techniques and the importance of listening. The narrative approach and how much I like it. The importance and usefulness of reflection.
And so the end is near. I just wanted to post this short but sweet post to say that I have now got a clear understanding of why reflection is important especially in the line of work we are all heading towards. Having time to think about your ideas and beliefs allows you to see yourself and practice in a different way and highlights what is really important. What has happened to make them believe they are bad and work through to let them see.
If he could make me feel so disillusioned about a job, his job, then how the hell would he make his clients feel when asking for his advice on their future career, their life! As I am sure ma.
