We now at last have some veggie beds and I have planted some seedlings that include, beetroot, red onion, spring onion, leek, carrot, spinach, snow peas and broccoli. they have benefited from the rain we have had lately which is great. Sunday, February 17, 2013. 400g can chickpeas rinsed and drained. 2 spring onions sliced thinly. 1 can champignons drained and sliced. To make dressing, mix together oil and lemon juice in a screw top jar. Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl, drizzle with dressing before serving.

We all have challenges in life, so this blog is my way as a writer to work through the issues in my life and around me, with hopes of helping others. Lucky to know Lorie Siebels. Tonight I write with my emotions swirling . I feel shock, disbelief, sadness, anger, and so much more, including gratefulness. You see, a longtime colleague and friend of mine, Lorie Siebels, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 50. As I write this, I am filled with such deep gratitude for having known Lori.

From beekeeper to mushroom hunter to oil painter to farmer, the variety of hats he dons, sometimes all in the course of one day, provide plenty of fodder for fascination. Each labor is painstakingly undertaken with the heart of a true artisan, and its shows in the fruits thus produced.
