Otherwise known as Granny Mave, is one remarkable woman. She was born in Glasgow on the 24th May 1938 and grew up in Troon, returning to Glasgow to train as a nurse. She has spent the last 40 years in Dumfries and Galloway and now lives in what she likes to call her wee log cabin by the sea! Granny Mave married, went on to have 3 children and now has 3 grandchildren. In 1979 she started a quest to raise money for charities that were close to her heart and has been doing it ever since.

Monday, 27 April 2009. Unfortunately, we lost our way in Glasgow and had to be collected by taxi in the end! They could hardly believe it and it all seems just like a dream now. That moment went over in my mind for a long time and one day I thought what fun if their engine power could be swopped for pedal power and do a bike ride with Granny Mave.
