Gourmet Grey Nomads Our Trip

Friday, March 12, 2010. SA-Baird Bay seal and dolphin trip. Baird Bay is an isolated fishing village on the west coast, about 50klms south of where we were staying at Streaky. The Bay and its surrounds offer fishing, bush walking, bird watching, and the incredible opportunity to swim with dolphins and sea lions in their natural habitat. Hollow on one side due to an old shark injury. They swam around us, upside down under us and coming in very close to check us out. When they decided to move on we.

Sunday, April 4, 2010. We had been driving around Cape Naturaliste, visited the lighthouse and decided that lunch would be a good idea. We saw a sign beside the road advertising this cafe so thought that we would give it a try. This cafe is beside the beach, very modern with floor to ceiling windows making the most of the view. After lunch we ordered a take away coffee and laid on the beach. What a way to finish an incredible meal. Bunker Bay Naturaliste, WA 6281.

Are We There Yet?

Are We There Yet? Interesting photos and signs. Monday, August 17, 2015. Day 5 Canadian Rockies to Calgary. Day 5, saw us taking the long way out of Banff and heading for Calgary. The scenery, once we were on the highway, changed dramatically from snow capped mountains to farming plains. We spent the last three nights of our Canadian road trip at Hampton Inn near Calgary airport. It was across the road from the Coca-Cola factory.
