Sunday, September 28, 2014. I think I mentioned before how amazing our driver was? He could navigate that enormous bus. Through streets where I would hesitate to take a small car. As we headed back to Guatamala City we passed a lot of crops grown on the sides of steep hills. Chuck was particularly impressed as he has made a foray into sausage making himself. It was a pretty rustic setup, but the food was delicious. Welcome back to snowy Idaho.
Yesterday, my children went back to school. It is always bittersweet for me. we have fun in the summer but I am happier and more at ease with routine and order. I feel like my kids are ready to get back to it, too. he is wearing the same size shoe as Aaron. YIKES! Where does the time go? If Olivia can.

Thursday, 9 December 2010. I have just had an operation so not feeling great. My current weight is 16st 5lbs so I have lost 28 lbs since starting the blog but that is not really very good but better than putting weight on I guess. I am looking forward to Christmas although my husband lost his job at the end of September, he has a little bit of work here and there - just enough to keep us ticking over but not brilliant. Friday, June 12, 2015. Listening to stories and legends in Prague. Due to the influence of the ruling Austro-Hungarian empire, that ruled all 3 countries, the bigger and more decorated the building, the better. Where are the stories of kindness in all this? Over and over, in dangerous and miserable conditions, some brave people risked ther lives for their neighbours. I have heard stories of pluck and good luck.
