From our almost-3000 square foot house in East Vancouver to a 300 square foot storage locker in Kamloops. All of those things that made our house our home are now carefully wrapped, packed and stowed away in one 15 x 20 metal box with a roll-up door. Call me crazy, but I loved the first day of school.

While working at Liberty University in the summer of 2008, I was approached by the director of West Nairobi School in Karen, Kenya, to accept a teaching position there. A teacher had to leave unexpectedly, and they had an immediate opening and need. After praying about it, I felt that God would have me accept the position. That began a very busy time. I only had three weeks to accomplish everything and be on the plane! God blessed and I had a wonderful school year.

So it starts with a face mask and hopefully ends with a healthier, happier lifestyle. Fingers crossed! For lunch I asked the chef at work for a tuna mayo sandwich with some crisps-not amazing but better than the deep fried shit I normally inhale. So of course I ate the fries, they were right there! But I only ate half my sandwich in compensation.
