Wednesday, August 03, 2011. Sassy studied Abraham Lincoln at the end of this past school year, and she was fascinated by him. It was a great study, and I always love it when the children get sincerely interested in history. Because so much of history can be dry facts and long-ago dates, I always try to do hands-on history whenever possible. When the opportunity came to travel south last month, I chose our path to take us by the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial.

Wednesday, September 16, 2009. We are in the home stretch and will be moving in a matter of days! I have to change internet providers. I will be back with renewed excitement as soon as we are settled and have all services connected. Thursday, September 10, 2009. Nothing new, everything new. We are weeks from moving in and I am shutting down our service.

We are back from a week long vacation in Perdido Key Florida. We had a wonderful time and I plan on writing a post all about it but for now my computer is acting CRAZY and laundry is piling up, so I will leave you with just a few of my favorite family pictures.
