Thursday, July 9, 2015. Today started off with a wonderful presentation addressing the biological and sociological constructs of race by our Edmonds Community College colleagues, Tanya and Gem. A special field trip was arranged for faculty and staff to visit local game reserve and the Nelson Mandela statue. It has been my favorite day so far because I got to meet the other 9 attendees on a more personal level. We got to see zebras, wildebeests and giraffes. I said yes on the spot.
