Our story of adopting a child from Ethiopia. July 8, 2011 in Uncategorized. One year ago on July 4, 2010 we held our son for the very first time and finally became a family. Amazing how one child can bless a family in so many ways. I cannot imagine our life without him and thank God for him every day. He sure has come a long way in just one year.

Monday, December 30, 2013. Gladney Family Service Trip- Day 2. The bus picked us up this morning at 1030 and we headed back to Casitas Kennedy. Today we wanted to take a group photo as soon as we arrived, but were quickly distracted as the children ran up to us to greet us with big hugs! It was an amazing start to the day! Vi fann en buske innanför staketet, kanske tre meter hög, översållad med med vita blommor. Högst upp satt en fjäril, ett påfågelsöga, en dröm för en nybliven insektsfotograf. Vi tyckte den satt där och skrattade åt oss. Varje gång vi försökte nå upp, och nästan lyckades, lyfte den på ett retfullt sätt, flög ett varv och landade på en annan sida. Efter ett allvarligt, lätt bedjande samtal med fjärilen gick den med på att sitta still på lämplig höjd för att posen skulle passa en fotomodell.
