Hawks Landing Golf Club Greens Department. Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Another excellent golf season has come end. This has been my 17th year here at Hawks Landing. All in all this season has been very rewarding and with all the progress we have made I am looking forward too 2018. I would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving and a great holiday season. It has been a pleasure to prepare the golf course for everyone this year and look forward to continuing our progress that.
Thursday, June 19, 2014. The beginning of 9 fairway. A nice river of water coming down 9. The right rough of 9. The creek over the banks on 13. One of the worst bunkers on the course, 12 green. Thankfully due to the construction of the bunker 12 years ago, this is as bad as it gets. The bunker behind 14 green is the only one still holding water. Thursday, May 8, 2014.
Refusal of golf course upheld. A PLANNING inspector has upheld a decision to refuse permission for a nine-hole golf course. South Kesteven District Council refused the application to transform agricultural land to the west of Witham-on-the-Hill into the golf course in June. Councillors refused it because of concerns about the amount of traffic going into the village. Plane lands on golf course. The FAA is investigating, police said.

With warm temperatures prevailing through this past weekend, many members were able to take advantage and knock the rust off of their swings. Of course today it is freezing out there! If the current forecast is correct though, I expect to have fresh hole locations and bunkers raked by the end of the week as we begin to clean up the golf course from the winter.
