Ironically, the ring-necked duck is named for something hard to see. There is a dark brown ring that blends into the black. We see mourning doves all year round, and everywhere we go. This is a fledgling that belongs to the one in the picture above.

It was very warm, but we all loved to see so many different types of flowers there were around. This area was FULL of Indian Paintbrushes. Everyone gathered armfuls of flowers to take home to press.
