Thursday, March 24, 2011. Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again. Not seeking, not expecting,. She is present, and can welcome all things. Lao-tzu, Tao Te Ching. Taking photos has become integral to how I experience life. To welcome those vanishing, unexpected things. The photo, even a thousand photos are still just a fract.
Photographing it makes it more manageable. Before Christmas, we were treated to a tour of the West Wing of the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue by a climber friend. It was pretty awesome seeing parts of the working White House that few see in person.
