As I was watching the leaves fall the other day and observing those trees. I wondered to myself, how much am I like a tree? Am I one that hangs on to things, good and bad with everything I have left in me? Am I that bright shining leaf of red where all the rest were brown - which all on its own could mean different things. Am I feeling void like the branches with nothing left on them? Am I a straggler? We are in shock at the fact that we have held you, wrestled with you, kissed your cheeks, read you books, tossed you the ball, and laughed so hard with you for 8 whole years. Incredible! You bring so much joy and life to this family and we are so grateful that God gave you to us! At 8 you are a ball of energy. 4 Right now you are sleeping IN your sleeping bag every night, on top.
