Wednesday, July 29, 2015. I am writing from the plane. We are about 2 hours into our flight home from Beijing. Why oh why does the land I love involve a plane ride? First 90 minutes the flight attendants had to sit. My supportive row of teens thought it was great fun. I had my head buried in my blanket chanting Jesus over and over. I tried to remind myself it was just very similar to the van ride through the mountains on the dirt roads. The driver thought it was funny to hear us squeal.

With China being 13 hours ahead of us, we are still struggling with jet lag. I really think the first 4 to 5 days were just a blur. Even though I work a midnight shift, it is still challenging.
