The article looks at non-defence discretionary spending as a percentage of Gross Domestic Product since 1962 and shows that, as a percentage of GDP, non-defence discretionary spending has not made government less affordable. The article criticizes lawmakers for focusing on this portion of the budget so vehemently while ignoring more responsible parts of the budget.

Monday, April 25, 2011. Help the Citizens of Our Nation. I can see that she is very passionate about non-profit organizations and how the federal budget can affect them. I know that there are non-profit organizations out there that rely heavily on the federal government for financial assistance. I am all for the federal government allocating money to help out non-profit organizations.
