Our February general meeting had to be canceled due to the weather but our workday was a wonderful success. There was a fabric exchange and many ironing board covers creatively constructed. Looks like everyone had a great time and now the ironing boards will be to beautiful to use. Friday, 5 January 2018.

Catherine McGavney and Janet McLaughlin are currently organizing our raffle quilt production. Saturday, 25 March 2017. Karen Henry came to our guild and gave two classes and a trunk show. Here are the pictures from the Trunk Show. As usual, pictures do not do justice to these fabulous works of art.
A lot of preemie quilts for the IWK NICU came in this year for which I am eternally grateful. I know the families and babies will appreciate them so much. Marilyn Vs quilt, a simple pattern combined with great fabric makes a wonderful quilt! Thanks to all the organizers for keeping us on our toes! The MBQG was invited by the Cranbrook QG, BC to participate in a postcard exchange. Fourteen of our members exchanged fabric art postcards with the BC guild. Most cards were sent just like a postcard through the mail so the stamp was actually cancelled. Some with more embellishments had to be put in an envelope. Pams postcard that she mailed to BC.
