Friday, April 08, 2011. A cyber friend ask me if I had given up on my blog. Her question made me realize that I missed writing. So I decided to play catch up. The last time I wrote on my blog was July 2010. So I will start with August. We call ourselves the Nixon Yayas. We stay in touch daily by e-mail and get together when we can for visiting and a good meal.

This quilt will be for my daughter when she returns from her travels. I have a few borders to add when time permits. Thursday, 30 January 2014. It has been a long time since I posted on my blog, and I must confess I had almost forgotten that I had a blog. In May we lost my Step Dad who passed away after a long battle with ill health, he was 84.

Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Bitties and Calendar panel. Gosh, its been a long time. I havent done much of anything lately but I have read a lot of books this winter! Nothing exciting enough to recommend, but they kept me entertained while I huddled around the wood stove during our long cold spells. For group 2, I made a cat stealing fabric off the cutting mat. This has happened to me several times! I owed Kimmie a block so I made her a scarecrow for her Oz theme and. Thought he turned out pretty well.CONTENT

Born in the small Southern Saskatchewan town of Kelvington , I starting painting at an early age. While in grade school I entered a painting contest which I won . As far as I know the painting of the sailboat still hangs in the halls of the old school. All of my paintings are originals and signed. Not one is like another.
