Fishabout - July 07 - Port Roper. Saturday, September 1, 2007. Fishabout - Port Roper. We arrived at Port Roper mid morning and no other campers - beauty! This was the only day the wind easterly did not start until well into the afternoon, every other day it was blowing 20 - 25 kph by 0900hrs if not earlier. Thus limited fly fishing time on the water. Tried bait misiing with no fish, plenty on the sounder but down deep and not hungry. Had a beach line out for 3 days and not even a cat fish!CONTENT
