Artists Statement

The task of making sense of ourselves and our behaviour requires that we acknowledge there can be as much value in the blink of an eye as in months of rational analysis. The ephemeral and almost immaterial nature of existence interests me, such as the fleeting thoughts and ideas that can dominate a lifetime. Questioning is a key aspect within my work. Compositional intrigue and the sensitive transformation of a slight subject or observation into a compelling form fuels my practice.
