Day to day with my sweet Caroline. Wow, I cannot believe how I have neglected this blog. It is primarily a lack of time. I have precious few hours of the day to get things done and I guess blogging has taken a backseat.
I lay awake at night listening to him breathe. The sounds go from a simple in and out to the slight snore of a child fast asleep. How long can I keep him my baby? How long can I keep him under my wing? I hold him and kiss him and do more than tell him I love him. Will he have anxiety and depression like me? Will he turn to drugs? .
In 1998 I was an active young woman looking forward to all the possibilities life had to offer. The car crash resulted in a battle for my life that would involve two weeks in a coma, seven months in the BCPFF Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit at Vancouver General Hospital and an additional five months in rehabilitation.
