Friday, December 08, 2006. On Tuesday evening I attended the Dreamweaver 1 tutorial presented at College Library. Having already learned a lot about Dreamweaver through English 201 much of the class was repeat. It was helpful to relearn it since it had been awhile since we talked about the processes in English. There were quite a few new things that they presented as well. This was especially helpful because I had not started my final webpage yet and it gave me some new ideas. It is a great tool to use.

The code we wrote was inside of the notepad program that is commonly found on most computers in the accessories folder. The first idea the instructor said was important was nesting of code. This allows the user to write code in a simple format that is easy to read and go back to to make changes and add on.

For the most part the class was elementary but the instructor had some valuable design tips like ensuring that menus and page banners stay in the same orientation on each sub page to maintain a consistent feel to the website.
