Food for Thought

Is never as good as the real thing. Sunday, December 6, 2009. My group had to give a presentation on the use of visual aides in education. What kind of teacher wouldnt use visual aides? What kind of teacher doesnt know that a picture can explain certain concepts much better than explaining it could? I felt rather silly telling a room full of teachers that it is important to use visual aids. Is this another duh? One bad design I will spill the beans about is the idea behind our schools 8th grade teamin.

Wednesday, Sep 16 2009. Well, another class has come and gone. I am only 2 weeks away from my Doctoral residency in Jacksonville Florida. Turning in the first assignment was very positive. I was quite a fun experience and I have a great team to work with. Looking forward to working on the next project. That said, I have enjoyed the instructional design class and what I have learned. 1 To decide if instruction is actually needed. 2 To analyze the learners or those who would be receiving the instruction. I wonder if it woul.
