Bathed in eternal darkness, the City in Darkness hangs impossibly in a plane of complete nothingness. Flickering light from thousands of lanterns and torches illuminates what one could only describe as a huge rock suspended in space. The top of this rock is covered in closely huddled buildings that aim ever higher at an empty sky. This blog attempts to chronicle this mysterious city and hopefully, improve my writing ability. This is a magic system I have been testing. The Pale Indifference walks on silent feet, using its queerly elongated arms to help its slender body glide graciously through the cavernous dark. Gravity is of no concern to it. Its skin is white and cool like polished marble. When inert, it gives off as much sense of life and agency as a skeleton on exhibit in a medical cabinet.
