Today would have been mom and dads 50th wedding anniversary. I didnt have to work today and wanted out of the house. Dad wanted to stay in the air conditioning. So he stayed and I went to the coast to escape the 100 degrees and residual smoke from a 70 acre fire south of town. I drove south past Monterey to Garrapata Beach. I survived .
