Implication and Application of EBP. What is Evidence-Based Practice? The idea behind the use of Evidence-based practice or evidence-based healthcare is that it comes from 3 combined aspects - the values and preferences of the patient, the clinical or clinical expertise, and the research evidence itself. The combination of these three aspects is what leads to improved individualized patient outcomes, making evidence-based practice crucial to nursing practice itself.
