Tuesday, January 20, 2009. Multimodalitys are perceived as being difficult. Everyday experiences are multimodal because we see, we hear, we touch, we smell, and we taste. Our experience of the world comes to us through the multiple modes of communication to which each of our senses is attuned. Multisemiotics describe multiple meanings that are offered by these modes, and many possible understandings that we may be able to make from these modes.

Wednesday, April 15, 2009. The main impact that the literature that we have read has had on me is that when I am a teacher I will be more open to differnt kinds of texts like comics. I understand that not everyone loves to read books, and these comics provide the same information just in a differnt way. Monday, April 6, 2009. While looking online at pictures and images I found several differnt things.

Scholarly responses and reflections to literature. The texts that had the most relevance to me as a reader were Understanding Comics. The first of which pertained to me because I had never before taken the time to read a graphic novel before Understanding Comics.

Monday, April 13, 2009. The faeries get the opportunity to watch an imitation of themselves in the play. Peaseblossom is offended by his character. Puck seems to enjoy the character, but feels he is a better player of himself. He changes from the roll of observer to observed when he decides to play himself in the second act. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. It was easy for me to relate to. Because Pecola is faced with the seperation of her family, and I faced the same struggle. Because when I was younger I was often teased for being a tomboy, which made me very insecure about myself. Making a strong connecion to the characters really helped me to be able to get more involved and interested in the texts. Monday, April 13, 2009.
