Sunday, July 09, 2006. China Direct - Final Thoughts. Laws and contracts are seen by many Chinese as an obstacle to overcome. Once the obstacle has been passed, many Chinese conduct business in a way that violates the license, contract, or law. In the US, this is considered immoral and unethical. In China, this is business.

Tuesday, October 24, 2006. So, it seems it takes red dye to raise concern about the environment. Pollution turns yellow river red. At least it appears there is some environmental pulse in China and if this is the first step, or catalyst, to improving conditions then I applaud the citizens for doing what they can.
