Thursday, March 7, 2013. Year of the Comet! It seems this year is going to be known for having the most killer light shows as weve experienced the Russian comet and a fly-by asteroid. Luckily the comet decided to make its debut in a country with a such a high mounted-car camera per driver count. It is times like this that we are greatly thankful but should somehow be concerned for their driving. The observing times should be during March 12 and 13 during sunset. It will be an awesome two days!

A vain effort to deter the sleep of reason, yet the insomnia never ends. He looked up, away from the carvings on the wooden table, and he stared. He refused to blink as she was drawn closer into the pupil of his eye. His eyes twitched and faded in and out of focus, resisting the biological urgency of closure. He scooted his chair closer and leaned in her direction. The feelings were the same. Do you see him? It seems.

Friday, March 8, 2013. After precise measurements of a rare class of binary stars, astronomers have improved the measurement of the distance to the Large Magellanic Cloud, a neighboring galaxy. With this information, they were also able to refine the Hubble Constant which helps in measuring the expansion of the Universe. They believe it is a push in the right direction to understanding dark energy, the cause of the accelerated expansion of the Universe.
