Thursday, January 27, 2011. Yesterday my friend, who was 3 weeks ahead of me in pregnancy, gave birth to a boy. Hearing her birth story and holding her son made me grieve anew the loss of our son. Our son was due to be born on February 9th. Our sons would have grown up together, played together, hopefully prayed together. My heart aches for my lost child, for the lost opportunity to parent, for what could have been.

Saturday, January 9, 2016. My Sweet Kitty Is Gone. I adopted a cat from the San Francisco SPCA in early 1998 and named her Lancy. At her largest, she was just over 9 pounds. Today, 18 years later, and after not eating for 1 week, she was 5 pounds, 3 ounces. Today, I had to say goodbye and I will really miss my sweet, furry friend. Rest in peace, my dear Lancy.
