After learning how to add pictures to our blogs in class today and since we practiced with animal pictures, I remembered that I recently read an article about children and circus animals. When most children go the the circus, they see happy animals who preform tricks and and jump through hoops. And their excitement quickly turned to horror. Tuesday, April 17, 2007. I have never felt unsafe in any school that I have gone to. My elementary, middle, and high schools all had high security. Every school had buzzers to allow people in school, and once I got to high school, there were security guards roaming the building at all time. When something like this happens and your students may ask you what is going on or wants to talk about it, I think it is important to stay calm and just state the facts, not to speculate on anything that .
