Monday, June 7, 2010. For Memorial Day weekend, Adam and I packed up and spent the weekend in Austin with my Mom and her husband Bill. I decided it would be fun to prepare my next recipe down there for the Holiday weekend AND because the only grill they have is on their amazing boat! So not only was it for the perfect occasion, but I had the experience of grilling on a boat for the first time.
The kids have enjoyed playing outside - football, basketball, baseball, roller blading, skateboarding, riding bikes, and playing with neighborhood friends, with a few breaks to help clean windows and fold laundry.

Thursday, October 13, 2011. Coming Out of Retirement. Its been almost a year and I guess its time to update the blog. Everyone needs a blogging break now and then. A lot has happened to the Butlers in the last 10months. I wont bore you with 50 different updates and 500 photos. Heres a basic run down. Since Mimi and Paw-Paw made a special visit, we decided to make day 20 on our calendar a little trip to close by Marble Falls to eat at the famous Bluebonnet Cafe and go to the Walkway of Lights. Some things bring an immediate smile to my face. My kids, seeing Dusty when he comes home from work, and flowers. I love flowers! We ventured out to the tulip fields today to take in their beauty and color. Well, who can say no to that? So we enjoyed the outing with him too.
