Friday, July 20, 2012. I initially wrote everything down that we did so that I could send it to JJ. I decided to blog it as well, because it is too long for a facebook post. Still cleaning up the aftermath. Then we found a hotel that gave us a military discount and had a pool. After the movie, we did some swimming. Kids went to bed tired and happy, so I was happy. Sometimes it was as low as 68 degrees outside though. Saw some mountains that were blackened by fir.

Thursday, January 09, 2014. It has been majorly cold this week. Thankfully, no real precipitaion during the coldest periods. In an ice storm about a month ago, our beloved tree took a hit. We are still recovering from that. Evy is developing his sense of humor, learning where the lines of silliness are and how far he can go. We made it to the annual Ison Christmas FHE as well. Our family cherishes this tradition so this was a big deal. Christmas carols with handbells is always a huge hit.

Wednesday, November 5, 2014. We had a lot of fun this Halloween season. We were excited that the kids could finally dress up at their school though the event was pretty crowded and Drew and I hope to avoid it next year. Liz participated in the 6th grade wax museum survivors or victims of the zombie apocalypse and won second place in her time slot. We carved a pumpkin. Chili Cook Off and Trunk-or-Treat.
