Thursday, December 22, 2011. Abo Ruins, New Mexico. When in New Mexico, we took the time to drive out to the site of these ruins. Abo ruins are part of the Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, located about 9 miles west of Mountainair, New Mexico. Once, thriving American Indian trade communicies of Tiwa and Tompiro speaking Puebloans inhabited this remote area of central New Mexico. In the early 17th century, Spanish Franciscans visited the area and found it ripe for their missionary efforts.

For seven days in a row, one of the first things I had done upon waking up was to roll out my yoga mat in pre-dawn darkness and do the Sun Salutation Challenge as instructed by Shirly. From the first day of the Challenge, I had told myself that the reason for doing it is not. It had been the most obvious reason.
Wings are for the Birds. Wings are for the Birds. I woke up with a headache today- no, not that same one as yesterday. This one came body first, emotion second.
