Art, like morality, consists in drawing the line somewhere. I was aiming for one painting but I wasnt entirely satisfied with the first so did another two. Not sure which I like best now. Probably the right hand version which was the last one to be made. I used the drawings made earlier. And used a limited palette working to control the tonal values. In this scene the hero gets to marry the princess after the usual hardships he has to overcome to prove his being smart and courageous. I am still amazed at their skills. They may not have been innovative but it shows their love for the painted subject.
