I have so much I want to share from my recent travels, but I have fallen far behind. Below is a small sample of my photography that will hopefully give a taste of our adventures. Fernando de Noronha, Brazil. Tropical storm over the ocean at sunset. The moon was the brightest I have ever seen. It was an incredible night and as good a night as any to practice my night photography. The mount on the left is their iconic Morro de Pico. Welcome to the World Carter.

Sunday, July 22, 2012. I have been told lately that I have been too quiet in the blog-o-sphere this year, so I will do my best to catch up on a few posts this evening. We rotated the dining room table and pushed it back against the window to allow for additional seating in the living room while gifts were opened and games played.
And did I mention? Wednesday, January 12. Found something interesting enough to post about. So I was reading on foxnews that thunderstorms create positrons - which are anti-matter. All we need now is a way to harness it and then we can power our starships with gamma rays. I was perusing the internet and came across this article that Sony has decided to. I guess they wanted an even 30 before they killed it.
Sunday, April 11, 2010. I became a Phi Mu Alumna Today. People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered. If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives. If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway. The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.

Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Here are the much anticipated pictures from my trip to Greece. There are a lot of them, but it was hard getting it down to just this few. This is the capital of an Ionic column on the Porch of Dionysus. Those of you that know me fairly well probably know my love of columns. I just love the detail in this shot. This is the back of the Propylaea, which is the entrance to the Acropolis.
