Obviously because of the huge strides her marriage took int he world, but I think because she had the last word . . . as shown in the statement from her obituary. The final sentence in Lovings NYT obituary. Makes note of her June 2007 statement to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Loving v. Virginia. May she rest in peace.
