Second Class

Second class busy at work. Seodhna and Lucy experiment with the tails on the dogs. We experimented with leavers in science. We made a dog and by pulling its tail we made him stick out his tongue! Monday, 25 February 2013. We did some fun experiments learning about static energy. We worked with balloons and created static energy by rubbing the balloon off our hair and jumpers very quickly. Senior Infants and First Class

Tuesday, 29 January 2013. Will it float or sink? We got a basin and we filled it with some water. We then got a rubber, coin, pencil and a match stick. We made guesses for each object. We tested them and recorded our results. The match stick floated! We found that a paper clip and a cork sank, but a yoghurt carton floated. We enjoyed this experiment! Monday, 28 January 2013. Third and Fourth Class

Monday, 8 April 2013. This is a photograph of a Primrose. Primroses grow wild in ditches, in gardens under hedges and in woodland areas. We have uploaded this photograph on the Greenwave site. This photograph was taken on Sunday 24th February 2013. We will inspect it again in a few days and take another photograph for you to see. As you can see it has lots of leaves on it.
