Monday, April 28, 2008. It is good that there are tutorials and other links available to walk you through programs and sites that are new to you. Exploring on my own forces me to take ownership for my learning and try things I may have never tried had it not been assigned. I am grateful for that! I created my voki tonight, but it took forever. Monday, April 28, 2008. I created a Voki tonight! It was pretty neat. I enjoyed playing around with the character and the background. My students would absolutely love this. I like to have my students present information when we work on projects. However, I have several shy student who do not like to get up in front of the class to speak. Monday, April 28, 2008. What I have learned this semester. Looking at my Inspiration graphic organizer from the first week of class, I really did not know a lot about technology. I knew how to do a basic word processing, basic email, Powerpoint, and how to use a digital camera. I was really intimidated about taking this class, but I needed the foundation credit. I was a little hesitant about the idea of a virtual class. It had its pros and cons.

I did get to start Gaggle with my students and suprisingly only got complaints from other teachers who thought I was trying to one up them or wasting my time on things that were not going to be tested. The screen capture feature was also handy when giving directions with a tutorial. If I were staying in 4th grade next year I would probably create one on Gaggle and Power Point. I look forward to creating a Voki that I can use at the beginning of the year to introduce myself to my n.
