Wednesday, March 7, 2018. This dress was inspired by a 1945 Molyneux design from the Theatre de la Mode collection. I was lucky enough to find a beautiful black and white silk gingham. I love how most of the dress is cut on the bias. It took me a while to figure out how to make the straw hat block to shape the hat. I had to get creative and ended up using a yogurt container, racket ball, and wash clothes. Making straw hats is fun! I love the results.
