The veggies especiallly loved the growing conditions this summer. - a long nice spring especially helped before the temperatures leaped to the heat of summer. The tomatoes grew like crazy! They were as tall as me with their main vines several inches thick and sturdy as trees! Asparagus - 5 qts. Strawberry lemonade concentrate - 8 pints.

The geese gather in great flocks but they no longer fly south, they hang out in ponds and fields locally. Maybe global warming? Snow in late Dec. and the deer are playing in the meadow that we see from our living room. About every other morning we have bald eagles land by the river watching for trout they can swoop down on.
