Saturday, July 31, 2010. We headed back into the Sinks for a 4 wheeler trip with Lane and Leann for the 4th of July weekend. Dinner the first night was a breeze, the boys just wanted hot dogs over the fire . After dinner Hunter wanted to go for a ride while we waited for Grandma and Grandpa to arrive. Troy is so patient with Hunter boy, I love how he takes the time to talk as well and listen to Hunter before he goes for a ride . This was camp for the weekend .
And he let none of his words fall to the ground. We all know how powerful words are. They can uplift and they can tear down. They can bring joy or they can bring fear. They can be soothing as a mothers song or harsh as a drill sergeants rant.

Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Yesterday a tornado came through Moore Oklahoma and devastated homes and schools. Lives were lost and it is heart breaking. This morning I found out about several donation spots in Tulsa. I rounded up some diapers, baby food, canned goods, baby clothes, toothpaste and soap to give away.
The temple was a beacon of guidance to me throughout my journey. In Bountiful it sits high on the hill above the valley for all to look up to. The symbolic ascending from where I lived to where the temple was reminded me of the daily battle I had to rise above the filth that called out to me and to reside in a holier, higher place. I would have never made it .
A surprising day off, today. I love days like this, when it feels as if there are more hours in the day than usual. I can give Purl all the attention she can handle, I can tidy my home a bit more carefully, I can make some great headway on my sister.
