Thursday, September 10, 2009. School has now been in session for a little over a month and with teaching fifth grade all day my reading time is severely restricted. My newest find is not a new book, albeit a great book. My advice is run and get a copy of. The book won the Booker Prize in 2000 and Time magazine named it the best novel of 2000. I was really struck by the difference between stereotypes and generalizations. I had not realized that such small distinctions in their definitions made such a large impact.
