So I know that it is only February, but it seems like these last few months have sped up. SUNDAY, JANUARY 1, 2012. David Curtis Smith, age 62, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 30, 2011. David was a hard-working , dedicated employee for all of his life.

I had been thinking about learning to turn for some time, and went to a wood working show in Seattle. There was a local club staffing a booth and helping neophytes create something on a small lathe. I made my first turning, a pen, there, and have wanted to get more involved ever since.
