Monday, March 19, 2018. Recently my favorite mentor, Robert Burridge, was in town and we had a chance to catch up at the opening of his show at the Lucky Street Gallery. His continued enthusiasm and dedication to painting is uber infectious. It was great to see him and his paintings. Which was a very good thing because this painting came in handy. PAM HOBBS Painting, Cooking and living in the Florida Keys. Sunday, July 15, 2012. Here is a summer update. The weather has been quite rainy but the clouds have been amazing. I got a new camera this week so I have been playing with it. This is the view outside my studio today! I finished 2 paintings for some lovely people from Poland. They gave me all the things they wanted and I filled the canvases. They will be in Key West in a week to see them in person! Tuesday, January 31, 2012.

My work relies heavily on objects and textures that inspire my fascinations, and these are usually found in nature or combined with natural elements. I explore ideas of excess and consumption, but also beauty, which I believe can be found in abundance, even in the tragedy of our global predicament.
