At the end of December 1999, I took my family for a tour of the South Island. We drove the Toyota Ceres from Christchurch to Hanmer Springs, Westport,. The mountain scenes were fabulous so were the wild flowers on the shores of Wanaka. Our first glimpse of snow capped mountains. Part of the Southern Alps. One for the family album.
It is a backpacker hostel called the Lazy Fish at the Marlborough Sounds. Monday, July 11, 2005. This hammock is very popular. You have to queue for your turn. The Lazy Fish has a lazy dog. I prefer the barbecued tiger prawns from Maxim on Merbau Road, any time! There was absolutely nothing to do, but watch the ships go by.

My wife, Christine and I regularly make a visit to the Hamilton Gardens near our house. There is always some thing new to see.
