Quarta-feira, 6 de junho de 2007. Jan van Eyck nascido no ano de 1390. Foi um pintor flamengo do século XV, irmão de Hubert Van Eyck. E aluno de Robert Chapin. Foi também o fundador de um estilo pictórico do Gótico tardio, influenciando em muito o Renascimento Nórdico. Como tal, é visto como o mais célebre dos Primitivos Flamengos. Teve como bases para a sua carreira artística o escultor Klaus Sluter. Duas distintas personagens da arte flamenga. Além de uma extrema precisão nas texturas.
