What is there to do in Steubenville? April 21, 2009. When I was at the Jefferson Lake State Park about a month ago, I saw a lot of people fishing there, but no one seemed to be catching anything. I was guessing that no one caught anything because it was still too cold. What kind of fish can one catch in little Jefferson Lake? Other people say that most of the fish are fine to eat, just not catfish and other bottom-dwellers. Does anyone know what is actually the case? Is it safe to eat the fish or not? .
