Riding, Running, Life, and other assorted BS. Thursday, May 20, 2010. NCT Bikepacking trip 2 - Williamsburg to Mackinaw City. My second bikepacking trip took place this past weekend. This time I rode with my teammate Chad. The plan was to ride the dirt roads from his house in Williamsburg over to Kalkaska, then catch the North Country Trail. We would ride up to Mackinaw City over the course of 2 days, then ride the Gaylord to Mackinaw Rail-Trail and some roads back to Williamsburg on day 3.
Tuesday, June 22, 2010. So once again I decided to subject myself to the punishment of the Lumberjack 100. My first attempt at this race was in 2008. I was very prepared physically that year, but maybe not as much mentally. At about the 40 mile mark that year I hit the wall hard, major dehydration and my blood sugar crashed so I only managed 50 miles. Las year I signed up, but due to a lack of riding had to cancel. So again I signed up for the 2010 edition, hoping this would be my year. The race was set .

Saturday, March 24, 2012. Had a good time racing this weekend, well if you want to call it racing. It was a fun course, and turned out to be about perfect weather and road conditions. I guess I should of tried to go faster, 106th place out of 129! Sunday, March 11, 2012. What a perfect day to get out on the bike. 43 miles of hilly dirt roads, no mud and it was warm. What else can you ask for? We found some new dirt roads that will be a part of my normal route now that I know what is out there. Well tim.CONTENT
