On the Friday of Semana Santa. I visited Tañarandy, a community just outside of the town of San Ignacio, in Misiones, Paraguay. To explain a bit of the tradition, every year there is a candle-lit procession from the chapel to an open area and an artistic spectacle. After walking three kilometers holding candles, we saw a theatrical exhibition of tableaux vivants with dancing and dramatic lighting.

At the time, I refrained from getting into an argument, mostly because arguing over Peking Duck is a very sad thing. Especially when working abroad, works of fiction are directly applicable to my life. Civil war is development in reverse.
