Henry Clark Cain was born on October 8, 1862 at Ellisville, Illinois. He came to Nebraska with his parents at the age of 12 and grew to manhood on a farm 10 miles southeast of Beaver Crossing, NE. On March 15, 1887, he was united in marriage to Miss Bell Latimer, who preceeded him in death in November 1932. Mr Cain had been a long time resident of Beaver Crossing, and a large number of buildin.
Mary Ellen Juanita Cummings and Jospeh Gano Wilkinson were married on Feb. He died March 22, 1965 in Muleshoe, Texas and is bured in the Sudan, Texas cemetery.
He fought in the Civil War. He was taken prisoner by the South and held at the Andersonville prison, in Georgia. While there, he developed scurvy and lost all of his hair, including his eyebrows. Susanah Wisecup - born March 7, 1843 in Highland County, Ohio. She died at the age of 103. The American Civil War began on April 12, 1861.
