Charley Cummings and Ophia Wampler were married at Seward, Nebraska on March 29, 1900.

James William and Delila Sherrill Wampler

They came to Illinois and settled on the Ohio River. He eventually settled in Bloomington, Illinois. He had dark hair and always wore a beard. One brother decided to go on north to settle in Minnesota. The other brother went south to settle in Texas.

The name Cummings has been spelled in several different ways. The census reports and many other documents were filled out or filed by other people. James Cummings, son of Robert Cummings, signed his military papers requesting his penion as James Cumings. James William Cummings, married to Susanah Wisecut, has their name listed on a census report as Cummins. James William Cummins and Sarah Wisecup. Robert Cummings and Mary Stultz Cummings.

Obituary - Henry Clark Cain

Henry Clark Cain was born on October 8, 1862 at Ellisville, Illinois. He came to Nebraska with his parents at the age of 12 and grew to manhood on a farm 10 miles southeast of Beaver Crossing, NE. On March 15, 1887, he was united in marriage to Miss Bell Latimer, who preceeded him in death in November 1932. Mr Cain had been a long time resident of Beaver Crossing, and a large number of buildin.

Joseph Gano and Mary Ellen Juanita Cummings Wilkinson

Mary Ellen Juanita Cummings and Jospeh Gano Wilkinson were married on Feb. He died March 22, 1965 in Muleshoe, Texas and is bured in the Sudan, Texas cemetery.

James William and Susanah Wisecup Cummings

He fought in the Civil War. He was taken prisoner by the South and held at the Andersonville prison, in Georgia. While there, he developed scurvy and lost all of his hair, including his eyebrows. Susanah Wisecup - born March 7, 1843 in Highland County, Ohio. She died at the age of 103. The American Civil War began on April 12, 1861.
